I am DrKabookenstein, creator of the Otties. The Otties are my first forray into the digital art world. I wanted to learn more about NFT’s and so I created the Otties. I figured if I was going to make something it should be something cool that I like and those close to me enjoy as well. So the Otties are cute fun otters that are meant to do so.
In the past several months the Otties have gone through a few variations and changes. Now even including some Mermaid Otties. We’re currently going to be going through a Founders set to raise some capital, then Series 1 followed by Series 2. You can learn more about them in the Roadmap section HERE.
I originally saw NFT’s as a cash grab on some crappy squiggles that people are paying a LOT of money for, and others are making a lot of money on. As I’ve done more research though, I’ve realized that they’re SO MUCH more than JUST digital art. The real value in the crappy squiggles lies in digital contract that is the NFT. Unless of course you have amazing artwork.
I don’t see the Otties as something that someone would necessarily hang above their mantle, but I do see them as something you’d want on a t-shirt, a hat, a cartoon, or maybe even some stickers you’d stick on stuff like a binder, your locker, or your computer.
More and more I just want to bring some cool people with cool ideas and interests together. While I hope the Otties become popular and profitable for all of us. As the metaverse evolves, I’m also going to be experimenting with different parts of it like Sandbox and maybe Decentraland. We’ll see what happens though. Let’s just get this going.
